84 players will play two rounds.

Monday, May 20th: Round 1 (18 holes stroke play). 12:00 PM Start off #1

Tuesday, May 21st: Round 2 (18 holes stroke play).  7:30 AM Start off #1 Players repaired by score

 

Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 30 players and ties.

 

Wednesday, May 22nd: Final Round (18 holes stroke play). 7:30 AM Start off #1 Tee only.

 

ELIGIBILITY: The championship is open to female amateur golfers who have an established current Handicap Index of 18.4 or below as of the time of registration. Entrants must have reached their 50th birthday by May 20, 2019. 

 

ENTRIES OPEN: Friday, February 1, 2019

 

ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, April 28, 2019

 

PLAYER INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament information, which includes details on practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played will be emailed and posted online after entries close.

 

ENTRY FEE: $250. The entry fee includes green fees, cart fees, range balls, player gift, and breakfast and lunch each day.

 

REFUND POLICY: Full Refund less $10.00 processing fee if requested prior to closing date. 50% refund after the closing date and 48 hours prior to the event. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.

 

FORMAT: 84 players, comprised of exempt players followed by those registered with the lowest Handicap Indexes as of May 1, 2019, will compete in the championship. The championship will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play with the low 30 players and ties advancing to the final round after a 36-hole cut. Additionally, the super senior (age 65 or older) contestant with the low 36-hole total will also be awarded. If two or more super seniors advance to the final round, their 54-hole total will determine the winner

 

ENTRIES & WAITLIST: All entries will be held on a waitlist until registration closes. 84 players, comprised of exempt players followed by those with the lowest Handicap Indexes as of May 1, 2019 will be accepted into the championship field. Should the number of entries exceed the field size, those not initially accepted into the field will remain on the waitlist ranked by May 1st Handicap Index and will be moved into the field in that order when an opening occurs.

 

HOTEL INFORMATION

Players are on their own for making hotel reservations. There are many options available in the Carmel and Monterey area. Quail Lodge is offering a special rate for players at a discounted rate of $239.00 with a 2-night minimum. Reservations need to be made 30 days in advance for the discounted rate.

 

EXEMPTIONS:

All exempt players must still meet eligibility requirements and register online for the championship prior to the entry closing date:

 

  • Past 10 California Senior Women’s Amateur Champions
  • Top 5 from the 2018 California Senior Women’s Amateur Championship
  • Top 5 from the 2018 NCGA and SCGA Senior Women’s Player of the Year Points Lists
  • Top 5 from the 2018 NCGA and 2019 SCGA Senior Women’s Amateur Championships
  • Any woman who reached match play of the 2018 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship
  • Special Exemptions as selected by the NCGA & SCGA
